I like to dabble in computer technology and besides being a Chemical Engineer using a variety of software packages in my work, I have no particular training in computers. Last summer (2007) I made the jump to Linux for my home system and have been running and loving Ubuntu ever since. I decided to start this blog simply to capture some of my experience in doing this adn whatever ele comes about. To some extent it is so I have a record of what I have done, but hopefully it can help others to make the leap as well!
